Donations at Kay Meek Centre
A Place of Performance
Kay Meek Centre for the Performing Arts began as the dream of a small but very committed group of West Vancouver residents. One of those residents, Mrs. Kay Meek, a retired school teacher with a passion for youth and the performing arts, became the main benefactor with what would become an $8 million gift. The Centre is named to honour her spirit of community and philanthropy.
Why support us?
The performing arts enrich the lives of patrons of all ages, local volunteers, students, and participants while making a community more liveable, energetic, and prosperous.
Since opening our doors on November 6, 2004, the Kay Meek Centre has worked hard to become the premier performing arts centre on the North Shore, and one that is recognized throughout the Lower Mainland. We offer a season of world-class music, theatre, and film, along with a summer musical theatre program for youth. We also provide professional support and services to touring companies, community groups, educators, youth, and corporations throughout the year.
With every performance and event we strive to showcase talent BC and around the world, provide experiences which will touch the heart and the mind, while creating a place of vibrancy and pride. As a non-profit company, Kay Meek Centre relies on individual donors and corporate sponsors to support these initiatives and ensure our continued contribution to the community.
Kay Meek Centre for the Performing Arts is a registered Canadian charity under our governing/legal name West Vancouver Arts Centre Trust.
